What a weekend it was! That was just wonderful to see you all in one place. It was exceptional to witness how day after day, out of a vague vision our event evolved to become the best to be released so far. If someone asked us if all of that was even possible, we would certainly doubt ourselves. But let’s start from the beginning. As with most of the scenarios, we started with a blank page and an idea to bring genuine motorsport relics to Wrocław. We've been following two intriguing projects for a long span, @rennmeister72 and @chromecars. The first is an extraordinary collection that is already unique for having the auspice of legendary race driver Eckhard Schrimpf. It gathers race cars ever to compete under the Jagermeister name. The second is @blackandgoldcollection, an equally bizarre collection built by @chromecars around the racing Lotuses which raced in the iconic "John Player Special" livery. Unlike most of the collectible automobiles, those are still in active use at the race circuits, and oh boy not just by the ordinary fellow driver but 3x Le Mans 24h champion Marco Werner. The only left was to persuade these respected gentlemen to display a priceless piece of their collection in an event where this kind of cars seem to be out of place, to say the least. We would have to be delusional to assume Ultrace as a brand would ever appear in a wide range of interests of professional racing drivers or classic car collectors. As it turns out sometimes in the case of Ultrace, some magic happens, reality turns in a more favorable direction, and the concept called "Motorsport heritage" begun to materialize in front of our eyes.
Alright, but what’s next?! It has long bothered us that so few from the UK have visited us in the past. The main obstacle here is the distance of 1.400 km, twenty hours of continuous driving, not to mention the costs and formalities related to "Brexit". The UK is the top representation of the European car scene, we knew that if we wanted to be a truly international event, we had to find a way to make it real. So we decided to take the initiative on logistics, and then the response from the British surpassed our wildest expectations. Virtually anyone we talked to declared their willingness to participate in Ultrace. As result, at the show, we were able to come across an absolutely outstanding split bug from @limebugvw, which we actually tried to bring for the show 3rd time in a row. As the time has shown the third time lucky! In the domain of very distant fantasies was bringing a @driftworks Lamborghini Murcielago, i.e. manual, RWD, V12 ITB in styling inspired by GT1. Our message was answered in no time, thank you Phil (@philmorrisondw) for your huge dose of trust! The transporters were getting loaded, the newly built E21 Gruppe 5 from @kustom_kolors, six cars of the @jason_gti collection that did not usually leave the islands except for the legendary Worthersee, exceptional E31 @aimanbugis1. A couple of days later, we had a full representation with @the_kyza, without whom we can no longer imagine this event, as well as irreplaceable crews @rotiformeurope, @autofinesse, @ilbdriversclub, and @slamsanctuary.
Working out a concept for the Rotiform booth was an unexpected challenge. The company straight outta Cali supported us basically since our beginnings. After examining their presence at other events, we knew they rather avoid dedicated stands based on lining up a large number at a single show. So what, we had completely different plans for them. We badly wanted Rotiform to be present on a full scale, and we had to find a way to achieve it. Brian and Jason are always engaged in numerous projects, we had to provide complete support in coming up with a concept. We knew the concept has to be so potent and coherent After a couple of hours brainstorm we were almost sure we got it, now that was just a matter of talking to the guys and waiting for the blessing. Jointly with Rotiform, we have paid homage to Eni/Agip of Worthersee. Back then we did not know that the days of our Mecca are numbered and the legendary Worthersee is going down in history. The execution of the concept outmatched our expectations, we had an absolutely outstanding zone at the stadium covered in the design of the great JJ Larson along with six remarkable Rotiform democars from all over Europe. That's not a mystery that Rotiform and Hoonigan recently tightened cooperation. A year earlier Hoonigan crew unexpectedly visited Ultrace, that was the single motivating factor to follow-up. We returned to talks at the beginning of the year, which resulted in the reactivation of Eurostallion and the arrival of the almighty @hertlife. A great follow-up to the Next Level 2018 when Hert first time visited Poland. Throughout the weekend, he did his best on the track, as evidenced by the condition of Musk's “oprawca”, who after two days with Hert requires another complete rebuild. We counted on such an uncompromising Hert, it was great to see him in such a great shape and fun mood.
Loads of attention were put into our clothing collab with Prosto, the oldest polish streetwear brand. The final results were evident at the premiere held at the event. We were intensely affected by this project, feeling there is no other brand in the country to match our style any better. Keeping in mind their previous collaborations with Vistula or 4F, it made us perceive this possibility as a prominent ennoblement. We knew we had to do our best. Rejecting all stereotypes and safe options, we agreed to create an ambitious, automotive-inspired collection that made us proud. Your trust has surpassed any of our expectations, giving us the confidence to follow the path of facing ambitious challenges posed by Ultrace, perceived no longer as merch, but fully-fledged clothing brand.
What made this year’s edition outstanding was undoubtedly the quality of the car projects. At the sight of the stage, you could experience hundreds of the best cars from all over Europe. All of the crews leading the scene joined the movement i.e: Lownatics, RS-Tuning Hungary, Top Secret Tuning, Schaefchen, Limebug, HolyHall, Camber, Pipifein, Oijoij, Violent, FittedUK, Driftworks, Rotiform, Hoonigan, Jason-gti, Kyza, Auto Finesse, JP-Performance, Tofu Garage, Lowmolewerks, Carbonerre Motors, Turismo, Z-Performance, The Indecent, Miles Works Automotive, Belle-Croix Cars, Musk Customs, Chromecars, Flgntlt, Rennmeister72, Strefa Rekinów, Cream Gang, Euro Crew Spain, Maxton Design, ADBL, and many others. As long Ultrace is an event worth rolling on wheels from Azerbejian - Fakhri Asadov (@asadovlife) or bringing the car from Spain - Cristian Saez Dengra (@cris_yourboxe), then everything is absolutely fine for us.
Still, wondering what Ultrace is? It is a hub, a platform to generate enormous amounts of positive energy arising as a side effect of gathering unique people in a remarkable establishment. We’re doing it for 12 years and we are not lacking fresh ideas, so fasten your seatbelts cuz we are just about to speed up.
